sixpack- if you're going through the trouble to move the car up to 10.80-11.20 range from 11.20-11.50 range, spend the time or money for the other 2 tenths to ensure 10.99 and quicker That's what I'm hoping my new combo will give me (10.99 & quicker). If it doesn't, then I will just "suck it up" and eventually make more changes. whenever "time and money" will allow. sixpack - if you read the general regulations section of the rule book, you'll notice anyone hitting the brakes hard enough to lock up the tires is to be disqualified as it is a safety issue. That right there! is another reason why the overlap system is a GOOD thing ! You cried and moaned to have the breaks changed, they got changed. Now you're not happy again? I cried and moaned to have the Pro break changed. I got what I asked for and I gave thanks to the track owners for doing so! I just wasn't expecting them to also drop the S/Pro index as well. which defeated the whole point of dropping Pro down to overlap with S/Pro.

The S/Pro index has not changed it is still 11.49 and under as per IHRA Rulebook the ovelap for Pro is 11.00 so I cannot see what change is being said for S/Pro as to my knowledge there is none.

Pro has been dropped from 11.50 to 11.00 which now makes Super Pro now 10.99 and quicker so yes super pro has changed. there has never been any mention of pro and super pro over lapping

If this is the case , then why hasn't the Maritimes gone with this ? Is there an overlap on the slow end of Pro according to IHRA ?

Seems to be an unnecessary amount of confusion here so I'll try to spell it out - 1. In 2011 the S/Pro break was 11.49 and quicker 2. For 2012 it is 10.99 and quicker. 3. In 2011 Pro was 11.50-13.49 4. For 2012 Pro is now 11.00-13.49 5. None of the ET based IHRA Safety requirements have changed.
I repeat: THE ONLY CHANGE IS THE HALF SECOND ADJUSTMENT TO THE CUTOFF POINT BETWEEN S/PRO AND PRO. ALL ROLL CAGE AND/OR SAFETY EQUIPMENT MUST BE IN PLACE FOR WHATEVER ET THE VEHICLE RUNS.
