Jeff, your'e right.we've heard enough whining about tracks. First of all we need to get some cars out and support the s/ss series that's been going on the last few years. I haven't played in that league yet,but it seems well run. Don't know what's going on there yet, but if we could field 14-16 cars on a regular basis,it might encourage the current operators to consider a travelling series or at least a race at another track once a year or ?. update on the wagon, i bought a drivetrain this week that should get me to the track quicker--likely be S/GTC or D

For those of you who have offered positive words regarding this thread, thank you. The offers of support for a series are also much appreciated.
I wish to clarify something though. I appreciate the work and time that Gerry Clow and Rick Wilson have put into their series over the years, and this is not an attempt to undermine their efforts and steal the series away from them. However, it's like that last donut in the box; if you ask over and over if someone else wants it, and no one speaks up, I'm guessing you'll eat the donut! Gerry, you've been ignoring repeated calls for some info on any plans for 2010, and if you continue to keep quiet sooner or later someone's going to step up and eat that donut on you.
While I'm not looking to eat that donut, unless you share some info with your shareholders soon, someone else may. Several Stk/SS racers have stated on here that they want to know what's going on. If you expect them to commit to showing up, you need to respect their requests for info.
One final suggestion Gerry: it appears to me that the majority wants a series that races at more than one local track.

With enough insentive and persuation there are two more local cars that could easily be made into class cars. Attachments:

And two very cool class cars they'd be too! I can think of several other cars as well that probably aren't too far from being class legal; some swapping out of engine components may be all that's required. We just need to help them "catch the fever" by showing them that we have something that they want to be a part of.

Now, we are almost 3 weeks into this issue and tonight I decided to re-read the entire post, from the start again. I have since decided to repost the very first post for us all the review. It went like this
CHIPPER
Well it's a very clear many are interested in class racing. Hope to see something great come from this.

Stock/Super Stock Challenge To Be Held At Greenfield Dragway On June 19th!maritimeracers.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=3896&page=1....sooner or later someone's going to step up and eat that donut on you. Well guys; after numerous emails and phone calls from followers of this thread, plus a discussion with Greenfield Dragway management, I've decided after all to pick up that donut and take a bite. With nearly 8500 hits on this thread and still climbing I feel confident that we can put on a great event! I welcome any feedback that you wish to offer. Maybe for the next while we'll keep both threads going and see if they each serve a purpose. If you wish to post something about the Greenfield event specifically please do it on the other thread, but if you'd like to talk about Stock/Super Stock racing in general, post it here. The guys at Greenfield and I promise to do our best to put on the best Stock/Super Stock show that we can, and we hope that you'll help us to do so. Also, I see that Gerry has announced two Stk/SS races for Miramichi, so the supporters of class racing in the Maritimes will have multiple races to enjoy in 2010. Maybe this year we'll see some of the "garage queens" make it out into the light of day! Better hurry, only five months until the Greenfield race!

Hi Sharon, I heard the old wagon was both looking good and working good at the Dutch.....glad to hear that it's been reborn. I don't know if you've had a chance yet to read our other thread about the Stock/Super Stock race that we're holding in Greenfield, but give it some thought; we'd love to have you take part.
