MDP (1) RWP (2) CB (3) GDW (4) were is the 5th one, for some reason I'm having a moment and can't remember the 5th one.
Vince Hazel did run a FWD Sunbird ( I think that was the car ) and did very well with it to. My point that I was trying to make is that the series needs to show the younger racers that there is such a class other than Sportsman and make it interresting enough for them to be able to compete and enjoy themselves as much as they do in the Sportsman class, I say this because of what I have seen in the past seasons of racing in Greenfield.
Not trying to offend anyone with my statemants, I am very aware of what is in both IHRA and NHRA rule books, just pointing out somethings that i have noticed, myself it would be great to have more attractions for the fans to watch as long as they are educated in what all the different lettering on the cars actually means and how it plays in to actual class racing.

Fifth one would be Clarenville Dragway also known for loads of traction and that's on asphalt too.

With no disrespect meant towards the hard working group from Clarenville, I would suggest that the initial focus should be on running a series at the the four mainland tracks. There are no Newfoundland cars on our list (yet?) so that means a ferry ride for the entire field, which would add greatly to the costs for each racer. It could always be added in the future once the Stk/SS series has grown to an acceptable level and has the momentum to successfully add Clarenville to the tour. Maybe by then we'll also have some Nfld. racers with an entry, so that we could promote the "home town favourite" angle in any publicity.
Regarding Sam's comments about front drivers, I agree that attracting more young people to participate in drag racing is crucial to ensuring the future health of the sport. I don't want to see this subject ignored, but I feel that it should be on a new thread of it's own, as that discussion doesn't pertain to this Stk/SS topic.

Iam so sorry, Clarenville (5), I really was at a loss for the 5th one because of the fact that it is on the rock.

Maybe it is like Mark Howes said it that is for the love of class racing,I for one am excited that this thread has grown to the point where non class racers are giving their opinion thats great.I for one as a class racer and small business owner am going to support whatever happens,I know that organizing a series takes time and effort and I am going to everything I can personally to HELP make it happen and if there is a race @rwp or MDP or GREENFIELD or CAPE BRETON I will be there so the owners can count on my gate entry fee and all the money my three kids will be spending at the canteen but IM JUST ONE!!.........AL

What a race it would be with John Armstrong VS Wendell Howes heads up .........CHEVY .VS MOPAR.....and those cars are right here in the MARITIMES.....forget about these fancey cars from ONT....These two cars are probably two of the fastest class door cars in the country promote that and the fans will show, prep your tracks to their standards, these cars make over 1000 h.p.and 60 ft in the low 1.10 so track prep would be key,i would pay good money to see that race........as I know many others would weather it be in N.B or N.S...........AL

p.s.By the way ,if any new young kid would like too run stock in a Honda Civic (06,07) 197 hp as they were built in north America.

Jeff you`ve displayed some great leadership abilities with this project. I can truely understand the frustration of trying to organize this relatively silent group. When you assemble this project together, I will volunteer to provide the necessary tasks to complete the promotional poster for the Class Racers. Is there a meeting planned yet and who will be meeting with the tracks owners. Time is ticking so lets get this thing going.
