FYI : When the time break was changed from ( 11.99 to 11.49) everyone had a say. At the AGM it was put on the table, talked over, voted on (by the membership) and taken to the track’s VIA the ADRA exec’s. Democratically!! This time our exec’s (supposed to be representing the member’s interest) . The ADRA exec’s apparently were OK with the track’s proposal and gave the go ahead to change to 10.99 without any RACER’S vote’s. This is the problem I have with the ADRA exec’s and I don’t like the blindside or the drastic change. Someone forgot what an association is all about, Not a dictatorship . The reason I mention rustpack is because that’s where the other thread started and was dragged out wayyy to long and it seemed to Confuse the track’s. By the way didn’t rustpack admit to breaking the safety rule’s running 11.20’s more than once? By the way if the category start’s at 11.00 you WILL need a Fire Jacket ,Fire Extinguisher, Six point roll bar, and fresh harness every 2 years. If ya don’t make everyone abide to the safety rule’s you WILL get people trying to cheat , just look at how many have gone in the 11.40’s and faster without these extra item’s!!!
Travis, Travis , Travis I have no problem racing anyone 11.00 or not, I bought a motor with brodex heads etc some good money invested. hoping to run super pro (11.20’s) So it’s up for sale (450hp 340) any taker’s.
Chris your idea sound’s ok, but I think with the car count’s down the track’s are trying to piss OFF the racer that show’s up to race.
Let’s just drop this thread, let the track’s destroy what they got (shoot themselves in the foot) and I can do a little less traveling!
DOHHHH Jeff treed me. LOL
You give the ADRA a lot of credit Bill. I have been to a few of these meetings many years ago and it would be nice if all the tracks always did exactly as the ADRA would like but that is not the case.
There are 4 tracks represented and the ADRA making 5 votes so to speak. The ADRA exec brings forward items discussed at the AGM or brought up thru the year. But if 3 or 4 tracks want to bring something forward that is a majority and that proposal flies unless there is very serious disagreement.
The biggest thing the ADRA does is try and keep the rules the same across the 4 tracks so everyone can travel and race in the class they want to race in.
You also seemed to have passed by Jeff's post where he stated he had discussed this rule change with the owners of Raceway Park and MDP well before the AGM.
AS far as the "Box, No Box" deal goes some of you may want to "be careful what you wish for!!!!". Some of the quick box cars may want a go too and no box might get a little tougher. Seems to me one of the best box racers going did quite well the Sat he decided to try both.
