Here we are at edition #935 and I have lots of things to share around tonight. Most of what you are about to read, could be seriously effected by the track of Hurricane Lee which is slated to arrive this coming weekend. Please consult with this website for the latest details regarding our final race of the season.
This coming weekend we will host the 2023 edition of the Ideal Electric Quick 16, as it was cancelled by weather back in July. The Quick 16 provides us with some of the quickest hot-rods in our region and there's always lots of interest for this event. Here's a peak at the plaques that will serve as bragging rights for the next year.
Also, this weekend Cape Breton Dragway will play host to four huge gamblers races and there will be four NHRA Wally's awarded to each of the class winners. The classes will include the Box Gamblers, No Box Gamblers, Bike-Sled Gamblers, and also the Junior Dragster Gamblers. Now these five Wally's have already been awarded but we have four fresh ones ready to go to a new home.
The race to crown the five class champions from Cape Breton Dragway continues and as of today the points for all classes have been posted. There are some rather tight battles so the action could be intense with the final event of the season about to unfold. To see the latest points you can click on the points link.
Now I'll finish with a look back at some racers from our first NHRA National Open from Labor-Day weekend. Please enjoy and share them around as you wish.
That's my deal for tonight but just a final reminder to check this dragsite through-out the week to keep yourself informed about the decisions regarding the next scheduled races. Play safe and have a fun week.
