Welcome to our 935th edition and the big story this week will center on the 2023 Micro Strategies NHRA National Open Series sponsored John Scotti Classic Cars.
It was quite a weekend for the drag racing story that surrounds Cape Breton Dragway and all the fine accomplishments by this group of racing enthusists. There were many events/memories for each team and that's really where great racing stories are born. Today has been my decompression day and I wasn't really sure how to sum up the weekend, and then I read a very special post by Marc LaBrecque on the NHRA National Open Facebook page. So I would like to quote Marc 'cause I believe he did a nice job with his description of the event.
Marc LaBrecque: "Gotta say this was probably one of the best experiences I've had racing nhra! Everything was positive, great old-time facility. Traction was good, the program ran on time, racers and track personnel all had a wonderful attitude. It was totally refreshing, win or loose, you had a nice word with your competitor. To the folks of Cape Breton Dragway ,,,, AWESOME JOB. Thanks Glenn Grow and the entire team and thank you to all the folks that welcomed us. I wish we could bring some Nova Scotia hospitality back to the states ...... Hope to see ya all soon."
Here's Marc's 2000 S-10 GT/TB Super-Stocker.

Now I've also found several video's from the event as well. Hopefully this link will work for you.
CAPE BRETON DRAGWAY VIDEO
The crew that pushed about 2300 races through the system in three days of racing. Great team right there.

Here's a couple random aerial photos by Stephen McLeod, from this weekend, that I also discovered online.

And finally here are some of the first of the fresh downloads from the weekend. Please enjoy them all and share them around as you wish.

That's my deal for tonight and I have lots more to share but just ran out of time for today.
Please don't forget to play safe and have a fun week.
