This morning the Cape Breton Drag Racing Association opened their registration for their fourth and final race of the 2021 season. At that time, the club was working under the guide-lines of the Nova Scotia Department of Health and the 250 person restriction. As of this posting, we currently have 153 people pre-registered for the September 18-19th race.
Earlier today, the Department of Health made some calculations that indicated they are now planning to move our province into Phase 5 of their re-opening plan on September 15th. That is very welcome news for all involved really, and it will move us another step closer to our new normal. For those that have already registered for this race, you have nothing to worry about. You're in. For those that would like to pay at the gate on race day, you're welcome to do just that. If you'd like to guarantee your spot in this event, you perhaps might still consider booking your spot through the online registration. That way, if the proposed changes don't arrive as promised, your position will still at least be secured.
At the gate, the pricing will be the same as booking online.

If the health restrictions are removed on Sept 15, will spectators be allowed?

Once the province makes their official announcement we plan to make a post. The CBDRA is not able to speculate or predict, so we will make a post after the official annoucement and like everyone else, we are in our wait and see mode. Please be aware that the CBDRA is looking forward to the return of our spectators so lets all keep our fingers crossed.
