Just saw where David Barton qualified number 1 in stock at the Gators with a run of 1.64 under and doesn't get horsepower on Tuesday because he is in that factory stock class they are running at select events. Nahhh the new cars are not under rated in horsepower now are they!!!!

I made a similar comment on facebook and some bret k (expert) chimed in saying they don't get factored. and the indexes for the big 3 are quite different. it's a wait and see thing I guess. but good air and a real good track with unrealistic ratings can get you a number like that if you work at it.

Couldn't help but notice the factory stock cars occupied the top seven qualifying spots too....lol.

it should be easy for them to do. if for no reason nhra doesn't want to check them won't be long before they run crazy numbers and are factored for horsepower. then the numbers will calm down. but wasn't it last year some guy in a chev 1/2 ton ran 1.7 or so under and never came back to try again.... paul wo

That truck combo didnt go that fast but was close, and got a big hp hit immediately afterward. The Factory stock classes shouldn't be run with stock for this reason, how is it fair to anyone else including other new car combos not running fs that they can lay down these runs and qualify up top without penalty. There was a class a few years ago that is now defunct that these cars should be running, TOP STOCK.
