Last weekend saw several racers from the Maritimes participating at the NHRA National Event at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, PA. John MacLean was running Super Gas and Allyn Armstrong was competing in Comp. In the Stock and Super Stock classes John Armstrong, Fred Thibeault, Kelly MacKay, Bruce Riley, Brian Oakes, Wendell Howes and Mark Howes were all there racing, while Wayne Deveau, Bill Sheppard, Jim Burns, and I were there to lend a hand (I hope I didn't forget anyone!) Although Bruce Riley is the only one so far to earn some gold (he won a Class Wally!) Wendell ran some strong times in his Hemi Cuda before bowing out in the 3rd round, and Mark took his Hemi Dart to the 2nd round.
Everyone but Mark and I are still there and planning to race this weekend in the Dutch Classic. Best of Luck to them, and congrats to Bruce!
