My take on a productive series for next year; Move away from the ADRA weekends as this format adds time to the day that the tracks don't have to spare. The parking is tight to near impossible as rigs get larger. If we feel we can develop a following, it would be great but as we are, we are lost in the crowd. The sponsors IE; MCS couldn't determine if we even had the race, due to the lag of time trials and eliminations. Not to mention that the race was Saturday not Sunday. I don't want to be that guy that says " In The States" but the few events (Divisionals) that we attended I was able to achieve more time trials than at home. I for one need seat time, so what is being said is that one time trial and eliminations isn't going to cut it for me. To move to a weekend like the All Out Race will give all of us a chance to tune and set up our cars for the Sunday race or have a double header. I have to take my budget for racing and divide my passes down the track into the money spent to determine where we shall race. Seat time is everything!
Dave Garland I know if I went more rounds it wouldn't be a issue!

Thanks for the comments Dave. The ACSSA is always open to suggestions regarding the best timing and frequency for our races.
Getting additional seat time on a given race weekend is easy. We typically have two time trials before eliminations unless there are weather or other issues beyond our control. If you participate in the host track's regular classes and Gamblers' Races as well as our event, you have access to additional time trials and eliminator rounds. While it's not racing Stock/SS, it will give you the additional seat time that you're looking for, and a few of our racers already do this. Also; on Friday evenings of race weekends Greenfield holds test and tune runs until dusk, so by arriving earlier you can get some runs in then too.
Regarding MCS, that's a comment that I'd like to hear more about in person. The race date was always known to be Saturday, and in my opinion each Qualifying and Elimination round was well promoted on the PA. Perhaps the person making that observation to you wasn't familiar with how drag racing is structured; with other classes running between each round? If you have any suggestions on what we can do differently to better fulfill our sponsor obligations then we're all ears.
Our Annual General Meeting is coming up next Saturday in Liverpool prior to the banquet, and is the perfect place to have a useful discussion on these points and others. Hopefully you can make it! Remember; "The best way to enact change is to be part of the change".

Tough day on the computer(Crashed),this is my 3rd attempt to send my response. I'am aware of how tracks operate and yes Greenfield has Friday night open, but there are other tracks and they do not run a Friday program. The MCS issue is not a issue as they will be back for next year. There thoughts were Win/Race on Sunday sell on Monday. So the Saturday is not conceived as "Race Day". Jeff R. has done a great job promoting the S/SS on the PA I agree. The issue is if the race was part of a smaller venue it would carry more thunder for the sponsors, racers and spectators. I will be out of the Country for the AGM unfortunately and this is why my post is here. At the end of the day I would like the racers to post there thoughts and have the BOD read the thread for the racers to decide.

It's too bad you can't make it to the AGM. Any points that you wish to have raised we will certainly do so.
It has been our intent to send out a proposed meeting agenda to all ACSSA members within the next couple of days, with an invitation for them to respond with any items that they would like to have added to the list. One of the primary items on that agenda is the race schedule and what members would like to see added or changed for the 2013 season and beyond.
Dave; you are likely aware from your involvement in other organizations that items to be added to an AGM agenda are not usually done by posting this way on an open forum but by advising the Directors directly. Nonetheless; if any members choose to voice their opinion via this thread we will check here prior to the meeting and consider it in the agenda. Note that I said members; while feedback from non-members is always welcomed, our path forward as an association is determined by the votes of ACSSA active members only.
As far as Friday nights go, I only used Greenfield as an example because I knew their program for sure. I am aware that MDP doesn't run on Friday nights anymore. While I know that PEI runs time trials on Tuesday nights and some racers use that for a test'n'tune, I don't know if they run on Friday nights as well. I'm also not familiar with Cape Breton's policy. The point was not to focus on Friday nights but merely to point out that there are options for getting more seat time on a given weekend.
Thanks for your input.
