i spent several hours there in 2005 and would go back for another full day any time. the posters and pictures on the walls are amazing. he collected everything from the start. there is way to much to see and they constantly rotate stuff as i see some of the same but a lot of different cars in your pics. if your into drag racing and in florida i HIGHLY reccomend a trip to big daddy's museum. the price is fair and his t-shirts are reasonable as well. and if the moon and stars align you might even get one signed by the man himself as he is usually around there somewhere if he isn't at a track. he drove out the driveway while i was getting my collectables but thems the brakes.

Wasn't Don Garlits known as Big daddy don the rat Garlits ? Don Garlits was originally tagged the "Swamp Rat" by the west coast racers who greeted him with scorn upon his arrival at their tracks. Needless to say he soon proved to be the equal of them. Later he was nicknamed "Big Daddy" by NHRA announcer Bernie Partridge, and the name stuck. One name or the other was on most of his race cars throughout his career. It's all covered in his autobiography, but I'm sure the details of both stories can also be easily found via a Google search if you're interested.
