I went down to Virginia with an old friend to bring back a turnkey Cressman four link car two weeks ago. We didn't really know what to expect, buying turnkey and all. Sometimes it doesn't work in your favour. The owner had been building the car over the last two years and had never run it. It had a ton of new parts on it, including a fresh 489 big block Chev. It was 99% complete so we finished a few things up and decided to take it to Miramichi this past Saturday. After two shakedown runs where it seemed to be all over the track on new slicks, the third proved to be the charm as it hooked up with a 1.13 sixty and I ran it through to a 7.91 at 170 mph on the car's first full pass. The car still has some left in it, as it hit the rev limiter well before the stripe.
I would just like to say a big thank you to Todd Chase for trusting me to break in his new ride!!! And before anyone asks, NO, I am not upgrading to a big block in my dragster...haha. The best part about this whole story is Todd bought this car for the price of the motor alone, still not sure why someone hadn't snagged this car before!! Here is a short video of the run...

Hey, thanks for taking the time to break it in. At least you know what you're missing now. You know you want one....

Nice, nice car, I knew he was selling it as he was relocating his shop. Great engine as well (of course). I recently purchased a set of his RFD Pro's and can attest to his worksmanship.
Glad to hear it landed in the Maritimes.

Wow what a nice ride. Would you consider selling the car, or do you know of any other dragster for sale in the maritimes? Thanks Tracey.

Well, Arsenaults checked the motor over, made a couple of small changes and took it to the dyno today. It made 875 hp and 704 ft pounds of torque. Can't wait to see it back at the track. Needless to say, Todd was quite happy with those numbers!! Bring on spring....
