Well here are just a few quick notes on the events of the weekend. I dare not thread into the "weekend report" but some people are wondering, so while Mario is bobbing across the Northumberland Strait, I'll just post a few quick details.
The "Team Cape Breton" was performing as expected and thus silenced a few doubters ... no really, Team Raceway Park came into the event as defending champions and they brought forward a strong effort. Hats off as well to Team Greenfield as they also brought forward a gallant effort.
Get this, the gas prices around Cape Breton went down since Thursday and then top three finishers in each class, enjoyed some fatter cheques at the end of the day. The payouts were enhanced by gift from Ideal Electric and the CBDRA. It's all good down here.
Add in some perfect weather/race conditions and this was an excellent way to close of the 2011 season.
It was an all PEI battle in the Super Pro final today as Mario VanWiechen was lined up with Roy Matthews. When the dust settled, it was Roy Matthews claiming 1st in SP. Nice to see both these guys enjoying their rides. Faber Mackie made the day when he brought his Cape Breton flag to the awards session.
Hey, I even got to write a cheque with Ray Smith's name on it.

Just a thought to throw a little pressure on you. ;D ;D ;D Need some personal commentary on your pics, warning once you start people will be waiting on it. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
