That's great to hear that Billy will be there! We also heard from Jeremy Keans, and I'm very pleased to say that we have now reached 20 vehicles confirmed so far! That means that for the first time our racers will be facing off for a winner's purse of $600!

I have to say that its pretty exciting to see the list grow. Hopefully all the variables that could effect it over the next 10 days work in our favour and we continue our growth trend.
As a group/association we have made great strides in the last 18 months to get to this point. Class Racing in Atlantic Canada hasn't been this strong in 15 years I dare say.
Congratulations and a big Thank you to all the volunteers who are working together to make this happen

I just realized that so far I've only mentioned what the winner will take home. Here are the rest of the payouts for a field of 20 or more cars:
Event Winner: $600 Runner Up: $300 Semis: $150 Quarters: $100 2nd Round: $50
Once you add in the money for the #1 Qualifier, Best Package, and Bounty Hunter Awards, you're looking at $1700.00 in cash!!

Blair MacDonald contacted me this evening to report that unfortunately he has experienced an engine failure and won't be competing in the race at Greenfield after all. Sorry to hear about your bad luck, Blair.
That puts us back to 19 cars and the $500 winner's payout; at least until we get one or more additional racers on the list.

Well, it didn't take us long to return to over 20 vehicles entered and the winner's purse of $600! Both John Armstrong and Fred Thibeault have now confirmed that they will also be attending Race 4, putting our current number at 21 cars. Welcome!

Rumour has it that Alan Harper is hard at work on his Super Stock Mirada, and hopes to join us in Greenfield this weekend. There's an outside chance that Tommy Coughlin may attend as well (if he bags a moose before Friday!). We haven't heard back from Terry Knapper to date, so there's yet another potential last minute entry. That means that we could have 24 Stockers and Super Stockers competing in Greenfield this weekend; a number that hasn't been seen around here in at least 30 years; if at all! If you're a fan of old school racing the Stock and Super Stock way, you can't miss this race!
Even if none of these three racers attend we'll still have record numbers of ACSSA entries to entertain you, and with all the ADRA and NSDRA racers that will be there too, this event is sure to be a blast!

Some more news as the race grows closer: I've heard from reliable sources that it looks like Terry Knapper won't be able to participate. His engine may be wounded and is out of the Camaro to be checked out. We didn't have him on the list so this does not reduce our official count of 21 cars.
On a more positive note, tonight I heard from a possible first time participant with a late model Pure Stocker. If a few things work out for him over the next couple of days, he is quite likely to enter his car in Race 4. Stay tuned for more!
