Unfortunately, I had a hard time rounding up any racers to bring their vehicles over to Walmart on Friday. Mike and I decided to go ahead with it anyway, so being just the two of us we found a nice little spot on the sidewalk close to the main entrance. We did have lots of people stop by, answered lots of questions, handed out some schedules for Terry, as well as some weekend spectator passes that Terry donated. It is hard to believe the amount of people from the area who still asked "where do they do that around here?". I would like to thank Brian Smith for stopping by with his travelling road show...lol. It made a huge difference having the ADRA race weekend advertisement playing on his loud speakers, it definitely caught the shoppers' attention and drew them over to see what it was all about. We haven't ruled out a second attempt at doing this for the next ADRA race in two weeks time. So if anyone thinks that they would like to try to help out next time around let me know. Any input as far as the best time to do something like this would be appreciated. Chris O'Neill

It is so strange that people in Miramichi have no idea that there is a dragway there. As long as it has been there , you would think they would know something about it .

It is so strange that people in Miramichi have no idea that there is a dragway there. As long as it has been there , you would think they would know something about it . Unfortunately that's not strange at all - almost everyone in my neighborhood had no idea there was Drag Racing in Cape Breton for the past 11 years until I parked my VW on the trailer in my driveway and they started asking me what the numbers on the windows meant. What I found surprising was the amount of them that had no idea what Drag Racing was. Even worse were the ones that thought it was a stock car. Sad but true.......
