Pretty much everyone who follows NHRA/IHRA Stock and Super Stock racing is aware of the return of the factory built drag cars. Not long ago both Chrysler and Ford turned Stock Eliminator racing on it's ear when they introduced the Drag Pak Challengers and the Cobra Jet Mustangs. Press releases have recently confirmed that Chevrolet is working on a factory drag race Camaro as well. While the new cars are not without controversy due to the excessively low horsepower factors that NHRA approved for them, there's no question that having the manufacturers actively involved in drag racing again is a good thing. I came across the following Ford Racing TV videos on Youtube, and they show in detail what goes into building a new Cobra Jet. The first one is about 2 minutes long and is mostly interviews with various Ford executives about the program. It's interesting that they also mention the Camaro program as well as the Drag Pak Challenger. www.youtube.com/user/FordRacingTV?feature=mhum#p/u/4/TC-7Gy1Gx6MThe second video is longer; about 10 minutes, and follows a Cobra Jet through the entire assembly line process. Wow, those engines are wide! www.youtube.com/user/FordRacingTV?feature=mhum#p/u/2/SH2CAjtuaNg
