The plans as of 15/01/2010 for the 2010 Maritime Stock/SuperStock Series is to host two double header weekends at Miramichi Dragway Park with the possibility of more depending on sponsorship dollars.

Well lets see Greenfield is having a race early in the season ,So that might mean that all the class cars can get there BUGS out and come up to MDP for the double header,Good to see the earlier thread bring some action from both tracks, how about RWP.Purhaps some of the management team needs to show up to a S/SS event this summer and see what they might be missing out on .........just a thought!Sounds like a busy and very interesting summer coming up .

I've always been a fan of s/ss and have a few questions, If you were to run an 82-92 f body are you required to run the poison of a rear end that came with these, 7.5" ring gear and all. I currently have a 9" with stock location mounting holes, stock panhard etc in an 85 iroc.
Also my car came with a 5 speed, but I'm currently running a 700r4 which also came with these cars, is s/ss critical on running the stuff on the vin # ? If i can get by these items, a motor is all that I would need. stock class is what I would be interested in, which class would I compete in?

The 9 inch Ford would not be legal for Stock in a Camaro. You must run a rear axle of the same make, so either a 8.5" 10 bolt or a 12 bolt is allowed. You can use the 700R4; as they do not require that you match your combo to the build sheet of your particular car. A TH350 trans or the Metric 200 are also legal automatics for this combo. A read through the Stock & Super Stock sections of the IHRA rulebook should help you better understand what is allowed: www.mydigitalpublication.com/publication/?m=1203&l=1&p=1

9" ford IS allowed if you run IHRA Stock GT, which is 1980 newer body, 1979 older engine.
Allowed same number of forward speeds as stock equipped excluding overdrive, so 3 spd auto or 4 speed sticks are allowed
As said in another post, you should get a copy of the ihra rulebook. It's the first $10 anyone should spend in racing.
Actually you can now veiw and download it free!
