The third one down sure looks like Uby Gaudet's old car, there weren't too many full bodied front engine dragsters around (I am sure Terry will confirm that for me). And didn't the "The Gambler" rear engine car belong to Jim Kaye out of Riverview?? I was just a little tyke around this time, so my memory could be failing me too...haha.

no no no chris. my peanut sized brain ( if that ) was only looking at a photo in hand. nothing is for sure unless all the parties step up and confirm it. but i can take this album next week to rwp and possibly greenfield the week after.

The last dragster called the gambler is Jim Kayes old car from riverview, the Joe Roy lettering is the name of the chassis shop i believe in quebec and not the same Joe Roy from moncton. Its the same car Jim rolled at pennfield in the mid 80s and repaired and painted i believe blue and white, only ran it a few times after that and sold to someone in the maritimes, maybe someone on here knows who ended up with it.

Hey y'all. Sorry for the delay in my reply. Here's the scoop on the pics of my dad's dragster. Blew By U was my dad's car. Number 1009. He would sometimes run it without front body panels to cut down on weight as he was over by a few pounds. Joe Roy was part of the crew. That's his custom painted blue van in the staging lanes behind the dragster. The chassis builder of that car was out of the USA. Brognelli or something like that. If you look at the picture of the dragster about half way down the track, you will see a yellow school bus parked in the pits. That's my family sitting on the roof watching the race.
Ah the memories. Thanks to all for sharing these cool photos.
Best regards,
Terry
