Welcome to our 884th edition and I hope you enjoy what I have to share tonight.
To begin tonight, word is out that the traction committee will meeting again on Tuesday at the start line of Cape Breton Dragway right at 5:00pm. This was not a well supported deal at the last event and we're seriously looking for increased support and participation from our membership. If you're one of "those guys" that like to talk about traction and its importance in drag racing, please consider lending us a hand to get the track race ready. Having only 3 members show up is pretty disappointing, so hopefully these things will turn around, and we can keep things moving in the right direction.
This weekend at Cape Breton Dragway will be pretty special because we plan to award 4 NHRA Wally's for the winners of our four Gamblers classes on Saturday. Here's the opportuniity that four racers will find their names etched into the history books of Cape Breton Dragway as we present our first NHRA Wally's, since becoming an NHRA sanction track earlier this year. Along with the time trial sessions, the classes for Saturdays Gamblers will be Box Gamblers, No-Box Gamblers, Bike-Sled Gamblers, and Junior Dragster Gamblers. It will be pretty exciting for everyone on site but an extra special deal for the winners. As drag racers, we all know how hard it can be to even compete for a NHRA Wally. Best of luck to all participating racers.

So this weekend will to be our final race of the 2022 season but our latest projects are still progressing in order to complete all of our Phaze III enhancements. Our new digital ET/MPH score-boards are now on order and will soon become a reality at Cape Breton Dragway. This Phaze III has seen many great advancements of which the largest was the addition of hydro poles and electricity to the facility. Many things have changed around the staging lanes and the racers really liking all the upgrades. Now with the addition of score-boards will mean another huge step in the over-all racing experience for everyone in attendance at Cape Breton Dragway.
So my racing photos for tonight were collected on the Labor Day weekend at Cape Breton Dragway. Please enjoy them and share them around as you wish.
A real pleasure to see this pair spectating at Cape Breton Dragway over the weekend. Allyn Armstrong and Wayne Deveau
Well that's my story for this evening. I'd like to wish safe travels to anyone traveling and racing this weekend and don't forget to play safe and have fun.
