Lots of info to share tonight, and to begin we're going to salute Dave Anthony for really lightin' up the 2019 race season. Last week we spoke about his Top Sportsman/Top Dragster series victory at Miramichi Dragway, and this weekend he backed it up when he became the NHRA 2019 Quick Sportsman Champion at Toronto Motorsports Park. That's correct, he has added another NHRA Wally to his collection. Photos are a little tougher this week but I have found this one. . . . and one from the inbox Now it will find its resting place beside the first one from July 2018. Here's another from last season. Not realy sure what happened or didn't happen with the ACSSA group, I believe there was 12 or 13 maritime based cars on site, and there was some weather, but beyond that not a word was heard. I've looked in several areas but . . . Oh, before I forget, the CBDRA will be hosting their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday June 5th at 7pm. This meeting will be held at the drag-strip site and yes the boys have been very busy as they continue to make upgrades the new facility. Looks awesome. They drag raced at Greenfield Dragway this past weekend and although everyone had fun on Saturday, it was short lived as the wet weather would dampen all the plans for Sunday. Special thanks to Darrell Poole for sending over some images he captured on Saturday. Yours to enjoy. Thanks again to Darrell for helping us out with all the latest photos. Play safe and have a fun week. Indy

"Not really sure what happened or didn't happen with the ACSSA group, I believe there was 12 or 13 maritime based cars on site, and there was some weather, but beyond that not a word was heard. I've looked in several areas but . . ."
We were posting steadily on the ACSSA Facebook page (Atlantic Canadian Stock/SuperStock Association), but as even doing that was a stretch for me (not a mobile poster normally) and because yesterday was a travel day we didn't get the word out on any other venues.
We had 13 racers attend the Cayuga National Open, with many of our members going rounds on Sunday. Bill Sheppard bowed out in the Quarter Finals and Kelly MacKay lost in the Semis, both to the eventual winner. Saturday unfortunately was lost to rain after the first round. The Cayuga announcers gave us lots of attention for being there in such big numbers, and there is a lot of buzz among the Ontario and Quebec Stock/SuperStock racers about attending the Miramichi National Open. Thanks to the John Scottie Stock/SuperStock Canadian Championship Series for that!
The cell phone photos I took don't do the event justice, but if I find any better photos out there I will share them.
