Some observations from Race 4 ..... 17 cars were on the grounds, but only 14 made the call for Round 1. After winning No Box in the Bracket Bash the day before, Bill Sheppard discovered a broken transmission just before he made his first qualifying pass. Wayne Deveau's Monza had some brake issues that kept him from making the call for Round 1, and Mark ran a 10.77 the day before with the new Howes Racing Duster D/SA but then had some new car bugs that forced him to park the car for now ..... Bill's opponent in the No Box Final on Saturday was Greg Nickerson, so along with his ACSSA win I'd say Greg had a pretty good weekend ..... after dragging the rear bumper both Friday and Saturday, Alan Harper went the wrong way with some suspension tweaks and blew the tires off in Round 1, wasting a .010 light ..... Phil Archibald strapped a .008 package on Kelly MacKay in Round 2 on his way to a Runner-Up finish.
All in all a great race! I'm looking forward to our double-header finale!
