ACSSA RACE REPORT #1
PRESENTED BY PARTS FOR TRUCKS
Raceway Park PEI July 4, 2015
The first race of the season saw the entry list continually grow until the day of the first 2015 ACSSA event. When the sun arose over PEI we had 17 cars make the first qualifying pass with the debut of Bill Kelly in his high winding small block Chev stick Nova. Mark Howes an accomplished ACSSA racer traded his trusty eight cylinder Mopar for the day and brought out a stick shift four cylinder turbo pure stock entry.
With all cars 17 cars passing technical inspection and weigh in, it was time for first of two qualifying sessions with a recorded weather statistics as follows:

Some good runs after the first qualifying pass. Underhill set the bar high, with a -0.993 charge, with Chris Howes not far behind in the Hemi. Despite the rising DA for the second qualifying session of 2400 feet, some driver’s improved their ET’s from the first session. Mark Howes called it a day after Q1 with car issues.
