ACSSA RACE REPORT #4
PRESENTED BY ANDY’S TIRE THROUGHOUT ATLANTIC CANADA
Raceway Park PEI August 31, 2013
The fourth race in the series was one for gaining valuable points in the 2013 ACSSA series before heading into the final race to be contested in Greenfield at the end of September, 2013. The number of entries steadily increased until race day with a total of 19 cars making the call for the first qualifying session late Saturday morning. This race also marked the debut of Mike Stone’s 1967 Chevy II Superstocker. Mike did a fine job putting his personal touches to the car.
The weather leading up to the event promised dry skies on race day. We were late starting due to rain earlier in the day but Raceway Parks’track crew had us racing by noon.
With all cars passing technical inspection and weigh in. It was time for first qualifying session around 12:00 noon

Some activity in the pits between sessions to try and take number one spot and the “Top Qualifier” award sponsored by A&J Automotive. Once all the ice had dried off the intakes and the oil levels had been properly adjusted for optimum horsepower the final qualifying session was run.
