Great day at Cape Breton Dragway and race #2 of the Pro Tree series is in the books. The car count was a little less than the first race, but still had over twenty racers taking part. Jim Green grabbed the #1 qualifying position in the 8.90 class, Mike Wilson in the 9.90 class, and Jason MacNeil in the 10.90 class. When the finals came around, it was Todd Chase in his first weekend of competition taking out Jim Green in Quick Rod. In Super Rod, Josh Goodwin beat Mike Wilson in the dragster. The Hot Rod final saw George Estabrooks getting the win over Rollie Clark. The last of the .90's racing for the day saw the three winners fighting it out for the King of the Hill title. Josh Goodwin was put on the trailer by Todd Chase while George Estabrooks received the bye into the final. Todd's hard work all day paid off when he made a single in the final after George broke and was unable to make the call.
Congratulations to all the winners, and to Todd for being the overall champion of race #2!
