Unfortunately Don that NES stands for "No Engine Specs", which means that GM never submitted the info to NHRA for consideration and acceptance. With Saturn no longer in existence, these cars will never be eligible to race in Stock or Super Stock. You need to find a '86 Chev 350 pickup instead; now there's a combo!

Well, that sucks.........Why do they even bother listing it if it's not going to be allowed?

So these blueprint specs from NHRA are totally meaningless? I'm not trying to be a smart ass but why would they list the car in the guide and have blueprint specs if the car is not legal? If it's because they don't make them anymore wouldn't the same rule apply to Pontiacs?

I don't know why NHRA would bother to put a partial listing in there Don, but I can tell you that there is not enough information on those sheets to be able to Tech one of those combos. As far as the status of Saturn, what I was referring to is the fact that if the info isn't already in the Guide then there is now no way to get it. Other discontinued brands such as Pontiac, Olds, and AMC, can all still be raced because back when they were new the factories provided the full set of specs to NHRA for inclusion in the Guide, and the info for those cars is still there for reference now.

Just got word today from IHRA's Mike Baker that a 1995 Saturn is legal for SS/GT with a bowtie under the hood. We now have a brand new entry right at the very top of my "bucket list".........

Nice
few ways to attack that
Super Stock GT
FWD Conversion Crate Motor
The Stocker would require 9" tires. I saw a really nice FWD conversion Avenger with a 360 Crate in it. Was a really nice combo
Good luck

Likely SS/GT with a 327/275 seeing as I still have the "camel humps" from the old Nova wagon. Not looking to set the world on fire either - dead on the index would be fine(whatever that is). Just getting to play with you guys makes it all worth the effort.
