Well not a bad day on Day 1 of the CB Dragway season, approx 70 racers braved the clouds and terrible forcast to get a full Sat of racing in. Some pretty stout #'s being layed down on a relatively green track, Doug Wrathal was playing in the 7.60 range and is still fighting little gremlins, Lennie Nicholson had the little vette roarin to 8.0's and kayward not far off in the 8 teens. Some racers from away came to play also, Todd Chase from Fredricton was getting some valuable seat time in the dragster and layed down several passes in the 7.90 range. Lonnie Wright and Joey Carrol down from Halifax, not sure if lonnie hates the tree here or not, but i know he was chopping it down, the four i heard .000 .001 .003 .007. Know wonder he was parked by himself in the staging lanes....lol.... Congrats to the Gamblers Winners..... BOX CLASS 1. Gord Ferguson 2. Gary Pozzebon 3. Conrad Niesten NO BOX CLASS 1. Jason MacNeil 2. David Reardon 3. Benny Niesten Good job everyone, Indy should have some pics up by now, thinkin he's still in shock in how easy i made it for him in 3rd round..... ..... vette 1 dakota 0....

Congrats to the winners. I notice that Indy's site doesn't seem to have any updated photos. ( www.indynut.com ). Is there another site that Indy uses? Is there anyone out there who uploads recent photos from the Cape Breton events? Always seems like there is someone there snapping pics but I can never seem to find a site that keeps up to date postings! Thanks.

Meant to make it down this weekend for some "practice", but the combination of potentially poor weather & a bunch of "gremlins" kept me in the garage unfortunately. Was talking with Spencer Phillips last evening, & it looks as though he had a very successful first run with his new Vega as well, knocking off a bunch of low tens (like 10.01) with the new combination. Should be a strong nine second runner when all the bugs are worked out. Sounds like Lonnie Wright's new combination is working well too, second week in a row with robot-like consistancy & tied to the tree. After last year's troubles, a refreshing change. Hope to see some of you at the first "Pro Tree" event in Greenfield in a couple weeks!

Gerard's Monday night feature on this board should have some - he was taking lots of shots both Friday night and yesterday.

Had a great time this weekend. Too bad about today's weather, but at least Saturday held off. Met some great people and put a few good passes on the car. What more could anyone want. We'll be back!

And to our Saturday Gambler winners, congrats on goin' enough rounds to get your hands on the cash.
Defending Bike/Sled champion Gordon Ferguson rode the wheels off his vintage 1100F Honda to claim victory in the "BOX CLASS".
And defending Super Pro champion Jason MacNeil, faced some strong competition on his way to winning the "NO BOX CLASS".
Monday Nite we'll have more updates and as an added feature we may have some excerpts from the tales of "Tigger and Corvette".
