just a bit of everything this weekend at the park. close racin and carnage were around the track. seen 2 races with margin of victory wins with 3 zeros behind the decimal, and one of them was a one!! some big names never got out of round one so that opened the door for others to step up and take advantage. final 4 in s/p were terry short vs bob partridge with bob winning and Cody Hobart taking ray bourque in the other pairing. yes the duck race king made it to the final 4. bob prevailed over Cody and ray saved the day over terry for third.
not a huge field because of weather but the pro field say a first time winner in mike porier over Ernie newcombe. third was tony Lyons over mike batog.
bike was small as well but seriously intense as glen frizzell wins over a uncharistic red lighting Steve Campbell..third was Kimberly Goodwin.
street saw ray pug smith winning over fellow islander Gus longaphie. notice any trend here, as islanders are serious about placing for the team race. Christine leeman was third over Richard Legree.
juniors was close but rylie green was the man to beat and no one could. the girls took the first 2 spots for qualifying but Jocelyn Campbell finished where she qualified 2nd. third was jc creamer.
now with ray bourque watching the duck race from the sidelines there was a pile of good cars in the class because of their first round losses. possibly a good time to not be in it for sure. Bruce howatt, Travis Livingstone, ray roach, a lot of other good cars but the old roach coach did prevail over tony wakelin for the cash.
that's the high-lites now the low part of the weekend, weather was front and center and kept a lot of vehicles from traveling and Saturday was mostly a washout as the rain started heavy around mid afternoon and did not let up. we even has a clear sky sprinkle today, only in pei does that happen. the biggest doom and gloom was a few cars that had mechanical issues all weekend, brad Conrad, Gilles bourque, Kandy mitton, but the biggest bad news was Richard Boyd's engine decided it needed a new vent hole and it made itself a big one. hoping the king comes up with a replacement but hes sure it won't be the hemi.
some of the happening's this weekend and now it's off to greenfield for A.D.R.A. #1, and their #2 points event. hoping to see you all there, and we can all stare at the new scoreboards together because you know i can't give out the wrong info if it's showing on the boards down-track, but I'll screw something up cause it's me.
