Coming to a track near you in 2008. Unsure of what numbers it will run. One thing for sure, it will be fun !!!
See you in May.
Best regards,

Terry;
I haven't had the chance to connect with you at the track yet, so I just thought I'd tell you here that I think it's very, very cool to see Sour Kraut reborn. When I first started going to the drags in PEI in the '70's it was always fun to watch the original, so to see it again invokes fond memories.
I'm guessing that there's no V-8 planned, merely an injection of power (and displacement?) into the air-cooled flat four. Anyone who follows the bug scene knows that there's a lot of power waiting to be tapped in those little motors.
Whatever your plans, best of luck, and have lots of fun with it!

Hey Guys, Just want to set the record straight. Sour Kraut is owned by Ray Belliveau. He is having alot of fun with that car. A recreation of the car he once raced like 30 yrs ago when I was in pampers. My car is a different Bug. Chassis Shop chromoly car, 4 link rear, strut front, very light. In fact i'll have to add 150 lbs to make it safe. Oh and the engine is a VW 2165cc 4 cylinder air cooled turbo charged unit using a Demon 750 for carburation and C-16 for fuel. Boost will start off at 25lbs. Estimated power? Who knows. The only V8 I own is in my truck that hauls the trailer and car to the track. No need to get overboard.... for now. Below is a picture of the car driven by the previous owner at the Grand Bend track in Ontario. He had a low compression street motor and was running low 12's. Can't wait to try this thing. Happy Holidays everyone !!! Best regards, Terry Gaudet
