Well after the georgeous weekend in Miramichi I seen this website on the VP Fuels banner and figured Id sign up...work cant block from a site they havent caught me on yet! lol. Anyway, Im Shane Curwin, from Moncton. I work at MacDonald Pontiac Buick in the body shop on the admin side. So yes...Im a desk jockey! Im in with the 4 banger crowd with my daily driven 2004 Cavalier (15.2s @ 92.7mph in Miramichi)
And the newly acquired project car...try not to laugh!
This is my 97 Cavalier (ungodly slow seconds @ way to low mph) The story behind it is my friend who owned it was at a stop sign and a Dodge Shadow got a little to close. Anyway, I told him to cash settle it with insurance and I have since bough it. It looks bad but all it needs is a half hour labour (or 12 pack for my frame tech after hours) to pull it back into specs and she's good to go....minus the fender bumper & headlight. It is stripped down a little more then what you see here, fender & bumper are off so I could turn the wheel. Plans are 1 of the 3 Ecotec's I have will be swapped into this along with a full turbo set up. I could put this thing back onto the streets but Im gonna leave the title as surrendered, she's had her life on the road....now it's time for life at the track. Eventual plans are for single digit pass's. Wether it remains FWD or not only time will tell. As for the much closer future, next year I hope to have the swap together and running. It'll more then likely be stock, I will be running slicks (thank you charge account at work) but not much more then that. The black one is also being built up a bit but Im on hold on that till the red one is together. It'll be a bolt on's car with a small shot of nitrous. Not an "Oh my god" fast car but a decent daily driver.
Anyway, the site seems cool and hope to seeing everyone out at the track as much as I can.
