Thompson's water seal on the top ;D ;D
I can't remember what the coatings are called off the top of my head, i'll have to take a look at the receipt and get back to ya on that one. Both were applied by JE though.

Both were applied by JE though. Looks like High Heat Ceramic Coating on the Crown and from what I can see by the color it looks like Moly Coating on the Skirts. My guess is that added about $50 to each slug.

Yeah, JE has their own name for it but that's pretty much what the coatings are...... and the price as well LOL

Craig Is your engine based on a gas block or a DX? Wow, most ppl don't even know what a DX block is LOL A gas block is being used for this build. I do have a D & DX block, but I have other plans for those ;D

From what I've heard, the coal-burner blocks make a very strong base for a big inch torque monster setup. Ain't no replacement for displacement!!!!!

Yup the diesel blocks are basically the same as the Nascar blocks Olds' made, minus the injector pump provisions. They can be built to handle some big HP #'s & big cubic inch small blocks.
