Here's a few new pics thanks to our early xmas present, a new digital camera. ;D Any of you Ford guys out there got any tips or tricks to share with me on building a stout 351W on a poor mans' budget? ;D...So far I've got a used Holley 600, some used long tube headers, 1-5/8" primaries, 2-3/4" collectors got both of these for $56US on ebay. ;D...remember my budget before you laugh.....LOL I've also got a new Weiand Stealth intake, a new Comp Cams 280H bumpstick, .512" lift, 230 duration, a Moroso electric water pump drive kit, a tach and some other small stuff....I'll build what HP I can and enjoy thrashing every one of them....instead of my old Merc. The T-bird home in my yard No more sound deadener, needs a clean up for paint. E5AE head porting has begun, lots to do yet. I'm waiting for my headers so I can port to suit. Gotta use these heads for this year due to a VERY tight budget if we wanna see this thing run this year....LOL Stock exhaust port on the left, opened up port on the right, it'll probably get bigger once I have headers to mic.

IS THAT 600 A SINGLE OR DOUBLE FEED?WE RUN A 302 WITH AN E303 EDELBROOCK AIR GAP AND A DOUBLE FEED 650 HOLEY.WE RUN A 600 SINGLE FEED FOR A COUPLE OF WEAKENDS AND IT WAS NOT ENOUGH FOR THE 302,WHEN WE PUT THE 650 ON RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX WE PICKED UP A BUNCH.FORDS DO NOT NEED ALOT OF CARB.JUST LOOK AT THE STOCK THROTTLE BODIES OR THE AFTER MARKET ONES FOR THE MUSTANGS.WEN YOU COVERT THE MM TO CFM IT WILL REALLY SURPRISE YOU BECAUSE THE ARE SO SMALL.IF YOU GO TO BIG IT WILL ALSO HURT YOU.HOLLEY HAS A FORMULLA FOR FIGURING CARB THAT SEAMS TO PREATY CLOSE.HOPE THIS HELPS.HOPE TO SEE YA WITH YOUR T BIRD THIS COMMING SEASON.GOOD LUCK.

Its a vacuum secondary 4160 model. I chose the 600 after I used a cfm calculator. It said at 100%VE a 357CID smallblock could only flow 608cfm at 6000rpm, seeing how mine won't be more than like around 80% with the crappy heads I figure it won't pull much higher than 6000 with my combo, so I should be ok. I also talked to Doug at the Speed Shop, he figured a 600 would do with my cam/head/intake combo and it might help with my throttle response off the line, less chance of a flat spot. I'm going to mill the coke housing off the top to help the airlfow and it will have a ram air setup via a hood scoop or piping to the bumper. I've got a 600 on my roller 5.0 HO with the stock 94 mustang roller cam and 1.7 roller rockers, it works great. If it turns out that it's not enough I'll go with a 650 or 750.
