Well it's been quite awhile, but our Victoria Day weekend was spent safe at home this year. Hmmmmm and with the announcement earlier this weekend, of the cancellation of our first race that was scheduled for June 19th and 20th. The reported numbers these last few days provided a glimmer of hope as they decline. Hopefully we will once again see the formation of our "Atlantic Bubble" and we can resume our lives.
Here's the updated CBDRA schedule.
My next news item, local drag racer and a great supporter to Cape Breton Dragway, Terry Butts has again donated two dozen lobsters which will soon be raffled off online. Terry is the skipper on the "Ocean Rebel" and he just wanted to do his part to help out our communities drag racing project. During these desperate times, this raffle will be oh so important as we continue to make improvements to our track. We are also very blessed to have Tony MacNeil handling the raffle for us once again. Tony never hesistates to assist with whatever the project is and we all appreciate his unwavering efforts. Now, because of our current restrictions, please understand that this raffle will have to be restricted to Cape Breton residents only.
Terry Butts
Tony MacNeil
Now, I don't very often do birthday photos but sometimes it does happen. I found these next two photos earlier in the week, and then misplaced them. Then when I later found them, I decided to include them in the #816 file.
Jonathan Kaloc
Most of the photos to follow were captured on the Labor Day weekend in 2020 at Cape Breton Dragway.
Starting with Dave Anthony and his 2020 Quick 16 hardware and cheques.
That's my deal for today but I hope you all continue to stay safe and away from Covid-19. And don't forget to watch FACEBOOK and the Lobster Raffle should be unfolding shortly.
