Dear ADRA Members
In a normal season, our points series champions would be decided, and we would be looking towards our banquet and AGM, but this year Covid forced us to cancel our season making for a different summer for some of us. Some of us worked on our homes and properties, some of us explored our home provinces, some of us worked on some long-standing projects. Some of you got some weekends of racing in thanks to the group at Cape Breton Dragway. My hat is off to them by showing a little determination, racing in the era of Covid can be done! That being said, the ADRA executive has decided to move forward and have a 2020 Annual general meeting. The AGM will be held at The Best Western Truro-Glengarry on November 7th at 1:00pm. There will be a track operator meeting later that afternoon to discuss what the 2021 season may or may not look like. If you wish to attend the AGM, the following public health measures will need to be followed. Social distancing will need to be followed, and masks for anyone in the guest area as there may not be enough area for proper social distancing. We also ask that anyone who wishes to attend please have your 2020 ADRA membership up to date. If you need to renew your membership, please contact a member of the ADRA executive. With the recent outbreaks of Covid we will monitor that situation closely in case of travel restrictions. Look for further updates on The ADRA website and Facebook page. There may have been some blank spots in our communications to our members over the summer but remember we are in unprecedented times and have no playbook for this situation. Thank You for your patience, hope to see you soon.
