Ok, now we're moving in to our second series and these next posts will be our collection of Maitland videos. Our first video is from 1987 which saw a few changes like John Armstrong at the wheel of the Heritage Cedar Homes Camaro. Anyway, this project is a rescue mission as some of these old VHS tapes are in sad condition. I repaired 7 tapes yesterday and had another break today. Once we get them uploaded they will be all safe. Please understand the quality is tough at times but its what we have right now. Please enjoy and share it around as you wish. Maitland 1987 #9

So for tonight, we're going to open up our third series of Lockout videos. This time we're going to Raceway Park at Oyster-Bed Bridge, PEI and if you're trying to follow along this will be Lockout Series E1-S3. This is a mid summer event in 1986 and right after the race, Sandra and I took a drive to Campbellton to watch their Waterfront Dragway event. At that time the CBDRA was doing drag racing demonstrations on the streets of industrial Cape Breton. There will be several more videos being added each day but now they could be from any of three series. Some tapes have multiple events on them so I'm sorta getting moved around a bit. I have many great memories from days and nights at the track and I hope everyone enjoys these enough to share them with friends and family. Enjoy!!! Raceway Park 1986 #10

Tonight's video is going to feature Maitland Dragway from 1987. It's the first part of perhaps the next three nights videos. The video I believe was made by Allan H. from Sydney. I have no idea how this tape found its way to me but there are some cool highlites that I'd like to have you watch for. First thing to note, this would be the weekend that Maitland hosted the Cape Breton Challenge, and I think it was August. There was two cars there from Newfoundland and listen up cause Norm talks about them but he didn't have the names. I've determined, the FORD Torino (White) belongs to Dave Powell Sr. and the grey roadster belongs to Virgil Gresham. Another thing I noticed, watch Glenn MacLean in Super Street closely as you can hear the "WHOOMP WHOOMP" and then Norm yells 10.90 with a three. Lotsa fun so please share these around. And thanks to Allan for the capturing the video, and if I'm correct he lives on my street the last 25 years. How crazy is that? Maitland Dragway 1987 #12

Again we continue with our 1987 Maitland video. This one is a bit shorter than the others. For some reason the VHS is protected now. Anyway, please enjoy and share this around. Maitland 1987 #14
