Well its been a day of catching up for me and I'm sure many are in the same situation. We had another great weekend of racing at Cape Breton Dragway. The entire Cape Breton Dragway staff did an amazing job under some pretty warm conditions and that contributed to a program that unfolded pretty well. All for the love of drag racing.
Worth noting as well, the regularly scheduled meeting of the CBDRA will be pushed back until Wednesday September 11th at 7:00pm. It was decided to give our folks a little break in the action as we prepare for the next event on September 14-15th.
So there's a total of 3714 photos between my phone and the camera and they're all safe, but not all seen yet. I think I have about 35 of them prepared and ready for viewing but it is a long winter and they'll be fun in the weeks and months ahead. Requests are always welcome too.
These are very random in order and are for your enjoyment.
The view from my seat on Saturday morning.
Sunday's Super Pro final, Chris Pozzebon vs Shaun Leudy
Richard "The King" Boyd on Saturday
Richard "The King" Boyd on Sunday, piloting the John Rankin's dragster
Friday's High-roller winner, Brett Ramsay
Friday's High-roller runner up, Jason MacNeil
JD Muggah's Chevy Nova
Don Phillips, Maritime Drag Racing.com
Drag radials are NOT start line friendly. No longer permitted in the groove and here's why.
Darrell Poole, I owe this guy many photos, so here's a couple I found.
Time trail between Dillon Bolger and Wyatt Rankin, these two later met in the Junior Dragster finals.
Kale Johnson hung in for 3rd in Junior Dragster
Not sure how many time slips, but the Kandy Mitton Mustang made a bunch of runs.
I still love when Shaun Leudy and Greg Roach line up their '67's
Noel Peach made the trip to his homeland. Fun car to watch for sure.
Kevin Burke worked the start line all weekend, but his hot-rod Chevelle kept the back lot looking great
Rosalee Niesten continues testing in her new class. Great addition to Super-Pro
Spencer Phillips was diggin into Cape Breton Dragway all weekend
This Jeff McCormack 370Z is gonna be an awesome piece, and another nice addition to the local Super Pro class.
John Rankin heating up the hides on Saturday
As does, Tony MacNeil in the RX7
Another batch of fresh record numbers from Blain Marsh, 0.939 for his 60' is another track record too. Exciting to watch for sure.
Mike Arsenault sporting some new paint on the Harley this year.
Trevor Shaw warming up his Suzuki Hayabusa
Shaun Force ran strong all weekend and I saw tripp zipp in the mix too
Faber Mackie vs Todd Myers
Gordon Fergsuon's 1100 stills likes to leap off the line.
Doug Wrathall's car is tough to full frame, but pieces are cool too
Doug Decker made the haul to Cape Breton, check out the natural star effect on the left headlight.
Kim Langille's Chevy II, this car needs an in-car camera at least once. It would go viral on You-Tube
That's my deal for this week but now racers will prepare for the trip to Miramichi Dragway as they play host to the "FALL BRAWL" on Saturday and Sunday.
Play safe and have a fun week.
