After a lot of hard work NHRA recently announced that the Canadian National Opens at Cayuga, Napierville, and Miramichi will be grouped together in a shared points series sponsored by John Scotti Classic Cars! (This does not affect the ACSSA points series for our six local races including the National Open. Those points will be tracked separately.)
Not only will the addition of this points series encourage more racers to attend each of the three double header events, but with the last two races deciding the series championship being held in Miramichi the number of away racers competing there is sure to increase significantly. As an added bonus Miramichi will also benefit from the additional publicity and media coverage that comes with hosting the series finale. Numerous ACSSA racers are already making plans to compete in Cayuga and Napierville, and with the quality of our local racers there is a good chance that it will be one of our guys hosting the first Series Champion Wally in Miramichi!
Thank you NHRA for once again showing your commitment to the many dedicated drag racers and fans up here in Canada!
