Good Day Members The recent announcement of the NHRA National Open July 29th and 30th at Miramichi has been the culmination of a lot of work from, Miramichi Dragway, NHRA, and members of your ACSSSA family. We are extremely excited to have been a part of this development. ACSSSA will be relinquishing the July 30th date back to Miramichi to allow them to host the NHRA National Open. The Open will be run by NHRA using NHRA format and rules. NHRA officials will be onsite to administer this race. More details regarding race format, entry fees, payouts, and rules will be available shortly from NHRA. Arrangements have been made to allow the IHRA combo cars racing in Atlantic Canada to participate in this event. They will be required to be NHRA members, hold appropriate competition credentials and pass NHRA tech. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. This is an extremely exciting development for Drag Racing in Atlantic Canada. Now that we have been given this opportunity it is up to all of us to assist in making this event flourish. Should you have questions about the event or the NHRA sanctioning please feel free to email me at mhowes@globalconvention.ca or call me 506 651 2777
It is important to note the National Open will be Friday and Saturday assuming there are no weather issues. Sunday is the ADRA race
After meeting this evening the ACSSSA executive voted 6-0 to count the NHRA National Open as our 5th points race towards our year end championship.

We've already been getting inquiries about this event from racers in the New England states as well as other parts of Canada. All of our ACSSA racers are pumped up about it too, so expect a large field of Stockers and Super Stockers at the inaugural NHRA National Open at Miramichi!

I don't think we'll gain much from requesting our own link at the bottom of the ClassRacer page Shaun-Paul. The racers there for the most part won't pay attention to it. We're better off for now to focus on providing up to date information and building traffic to our forum here on MaritimeDragRacing.com, and also on our Facebook page.
ClassRacer publicity can be best achieved by posting on their main page whenever it's needed. More viewers will see it there.
