After a busy and intense year of Stock/Super Stock racing it's time for us to get together and discuss the past season, and make our plans for 2016. This year we have booked the private dining room at the Best Western Glengarry in Truro for the ACSSA Annual General Meeting, which will be held on November 21st. The schedule is as follows:
3:00 - 5:00PM Annual General Meeting
5:00 - 6:00PM Supper
6:00 - 7:00PM Awards Presentations
The Agenda for the AGM is still being developed and will be circulated prior to Nov. 21st. With the ADRA and NSDRA AGMs the weekend before we are hoping that the local 2016 race dates as well as the NHRA Div. 1 race dates will be known prior to our meeting so that we can make informed decisions about our race options. If you are a current ACSSA member and there is a discussion item that you would like to have included in the agenda please contact us so that it can be added.
After the awards have been given out some people are considering staying the night and continuing the socializing in the hotel bar. If you're interested in a room, the Glengarry's phone number is 902-893-4311.
One final note: we have been targeting the area from Moncton to Truro when looking for locations for our AGM, because that is the most central region for our members to travel to. We've had a couple of AGMs in Moncton, and this year we're giving the Glengarry a try. For next year we are open to suggestions, but here are our basic requirements: 1) a private room large enough to hold 30+ people, and 2) no charge! The Glengarry meets these requirements and asks only that a reasonable number of us have supper while there (you have to eat somewhere!). For upcoming years we welcome suggestions in either the Amherst or Moncton areas that offer a similar free option.
