Anybody else notice that New England dragway is only listing as a Friday-Saturday event? With a sport compact event Sunday? I'm hoping that's incorrect!

In many cases National Opens are 2 day races. Friday Qualifying Saturday Race Sunday Rain Date
Last year the race was Friday Test & Tune (No Qualifying), Saturday Qualify, Sunday Race
With the threat of rain on Sunday they completed the entire race (2 Qualifiers and Elims) Saturday to avoid a rainout
Keep in mind there are no ladders until second round in N/O racing so that makes things a touch smoother as well

One advantage of finishing the race on Saturday is that it gives you Sunday as a travel day to get home instead of having to take Monday off too.

In this case Monday is Victoria Day.
Hey Hit Winterport on the way home. You can race there for under $40 and get as many passes as you can cram in a day

A couple of points for you to consider. Last year the car count in Epping was a bit thin with very few stock and super stock cars attending, something I was very surprised with at the time. There was I think only 1 or 2 new style cars on the ground i.e copo's or challangers etc. You need to keep in mind that the following weekend is the divisional in Maple Grove and the weekend after that is the national meet in Englishtown. Maple Grove will be swamped with stock & super stock including the modern versions in droves. Kelly can probably give you the best perspective on this. Also the Epping July event is a divisional event so you do not need grade points to attend. The Epping June event is the national event where grade points are required. All this said the National Open in Epping is worth the trip just to make passes on that track and while not on their schedule yet they may offer a test & tune day the day prior to the actual event. With regard to Maple Grove if you could find your way there (it is a bit of a hike from Epping) usually Thursday the track is open for test & tune, cost is not that much. Qualifying is Friday and you go from there. There will be a lot of class cars in attendance for sure. Hope this helps a little bit with your planning. I plan on being in Epping and Maple Grove so I'll look you up.
