Great day of heads up pro tree action in our Pro Tree series at Miramichi Raceway today. Even with a smaller overall car count, the .90's racers came out in big numbers making this the largest field of cars to date resulting in some of the highest payouts. In the 10.90 class, the final saw Jason MacNeill getting the win over a red lighting Mark Green....Robert Cormier was number one qualifier. In the 9.90 class Don Aufrey got the win and the biggest payday for any class so far, pocketing $900 for his efforts in the 16 car field...Mike Sargent was the number one qualifier. The 8.90 class saw an all door car final for the second race in a row, when the same two finalists pulled to the line to battle for the money. The result was the same as well with John Hill getting the win over Lynn Cormier....John was also number one qualifier for this event. The run of the day has to go to Dave Anthony, who took his low seven second car into first round without a throttle stop and proceeded to race me wheel to wheel on his way to a 8.901......yes you read that right....lol. Thanks to all the participants who continue to support this series, and the new ones who decided to give it a try. Bernie puts a lot of effort into rounding up enough racers to put on a great show, and it is obvious it is paying off with the record number of racers who participated in this event!! Next Pro Tree event is right back here at Miramichi Raceway as we run the make up race which was rained out on PEI.....see you all in three weeks!!
