Yeah it was no for sure source that stated that, but a few "old dealership guys" that replied to a thread started by the fletch on a another site, and on a couple other boards. People seem to be forgetting the RS option, with the slighty domed hood, available on even 307 cars. No fresh air, but one of those hoods picked dad's 67 up a little over a tenth back in the 90's. A little extra room never hurts! To my knowledge (supported by numerous reference sources) there are only three hood options for '69 Camaros: the flat hood, the SS hood (which is slightly domed and has the twin fake louvers on it), and the cowl hood. The cowl hood has already been discussed, and the SS model had only the 350/300 and various big blocks for engine options. The flat hood was on everything else including RS models (unless it was a SS/RS). No 307 powered Camaros (either RS or non RS) would have come with anything but a flat hood. If you can find any literature that proves otherwise I'll be happy to admit I'm wrong. And in case anyone is wondering; the '67-68 Camaros had only two hood options; the flat hood and the SS hood. (I'm not including Yenko, Baldwin-Motion and Dickie Harrell cars, which often didn't use production hoods.)
