Hello, A few fans, racers and I were talking about starting a team of volunteers to help out Miramichi Dragway. Additional help on race weekends would probably be needed. There is also prep week leading into race weekend. Monday and Tuesday would be ground work (lawn, weed whacking …), Wednesday would be burning/scraping the burn out box and pads. Thursday would be the sweeping a getting glue and other stuff ready. We would love to be able to get a few names to go on a list of possible volunteer. If you, family member, neighbor… could offer a bit of time, it would be more that welcome. Feel free to contact me either publicly on this forum, by private message, by e-mail, or by phone. Thanks, Don Mazerolle Bathurst, NB donmaz2@hotmail.com Cell: 506-543-1573

We are gathering a few names. The plan for now is to work on a malling list. We are going to send a bulk e-mail to everyone on the list prior to an event with somewhat of a schedule or a to do list. A person can either reply by saying “Yes, will be there…”, or “Sorry, can’t make it”, or not reply. So, no pressure. Still trying to grow the list. Feel free to place your name and e-mail down.
Thanks,
Donald Mazerolle

The Team of Volunteer is planning to start a Drag Racing School. If possible, we will try to have a person on call at the track at every events to help out any new racer. We can either jump in their car, or they can jump in one of ours, we can then show them how to do a proper burn out, staging...
If anyone could be interested in helping out, please let me know.
Thanks,
Don

It’s getting really close to that time of year now that spring is in the air! We know that not all racers and race fans can volunteer their time, however if you can help out by spreading the word. In my late teens, I was asked if I would be interested in helping out the track at McEwen’s, and that somewhat how I got started at drag strips.
So if you are doing your thing, and someone asks you if you have your car ready for the summer, just mention volunteers would be more that welcome to help out at the track. Mention this website, and tell them to contact me. Thanks,

I was hoping to be able to make it to the Miramichi Dragway meeting at the car show at 2PM this Saturday, however I will can make it on Saturday (being it's a holiday on Friday, the bread man can't be away the following day). I plan on being at the car show a large part of the day on Good Friday. If anyone has any questions on the volunteer team, or drag racing school, feel free to come see me then.
Thanks,
Donald Mazerolle

We got a few more names added to the volunteer team over the speedsport weekend. Huge thanks to everyone that is stepping up. If anyone else could be interested please let us know. It could be little things like posting the ladders on the boards, or selling 50/50 tickets.
Thanks,

Hello, The drag racing school seems to have sparked a bit of interest to quite a few peoples. Before the High School Challenge weekend in May. I will post which vehicle/s to look for, and feel free to see us. We will be more than happy to show you the basics and bring you down the track. There will be no cost, other than your entry fee to the track. If possible however, please bring your own helmet. I do have a few extra helmets, however they are mostly small sizes. So on a side note, if anyone has spare helmets doing noting. We will be more than happy to take helmets as donations. Thanks, Donald Mazerolle

That's great! Thanks Mark.
Once you go to track, drop it off at the tower, and we will pick it up there. Or, if you are in the Bathurst, or Shediac area, you can give me call, there are a few places you could drop it off.
Thanks,
Don 506-543-1573
