Yes you're absolutley right Jeff, making a list of whats still around and possible of running is one thing, getting them out is the other.
Does anyone have any ideas on what may/would bring the cars out?
I'd like to help in any way possible to see it happen.

Andy MacDonald, Moncton, NB - '69 Biscayne - G/SA (inactive)Looking at our list so far, it's great to see that three new stockers are being built this winter.....that has to be a record for the last 10-15 years around here! On the negative side, there are stockers on the list that have seldom been seen on the track over the last few years. If they are ready to go, what is keeping them parked? Allowing for the cars under construction and the ones that don't usually race locally, there still appears to be nearly 20 Stk/SS cars around here. So the big question is; why have there only been 10 cars or less at most of the past events? Solving that mystery and reversing it as well as encouraging new entries is key to having a viable local series in my opinion. I had heard John's old Camaro had been sold but I wasn't planning on including it until the new owner makes his plans known. After all, the former Super Stock Camaros of Jim Morrison, Stan Brennan, and Fred Thibault have all been converted back to street cars, and this one may too. Hopefully it will remain a Super Stocker and the new owner will come out to play. Is the old "One More Time" Nova still a legal Super Stocker? If so, does the owner plan on running it? Incidentally, I found out this morning that Packham's old wagon is still a competitive stocker and is being raced in Pennsylvania. John Armstrong,Wendell and Mark Howes and a few more car's around here have too much(power) for the local tracks.they are set on kill and hard too hook up here. I saw Packham's old wagon at the dutch in 08 the guy did a great job on the old wagon.

Billy Ervin's son's name is Trevor. Trevor and Billy built the car over the past couple of years and got it out for the '09 season. You absolutley could not wipe the grin off of Trevor's face. His enthusiasm toward this sport is second to none. Peter

Kelly, my estimate of cars available was taken from the list without counting the cars you mentioned, and also some others that do not race locally either.

Happy holidays,Just to clarify after having a great summer getting Sams old car back on track in just two months, then having the BIG motor eat a few rods,we now have a complete new class legal motor ready to run,we are spending the winter getting the suspension updated and giving the car a little TLC it didnt get in the rush to have it out last summer.with the current weight and engine combo the car will run as a SS/KA.We have been doing some testing even with a low HP 318 with some gear ratios and purhaps found strong ET improvments. It was great getting out and seeing all the folks who remembered the car from the early days lota fun for sure..........ALAN HARPER SALISBURY N.B.

Update on the Armstrong SS/I 1967 camaro. She is stripped and cleaned heading back to the Armstrong's for a new cage and fresh power. I plan on racing it a few times this year locally if this series goes. This car means a lot to me as I lost to it many times. Funny how things go, I started racing in a E/SA 1967 Camaro, then a bunch of pipe cars and now look at me !!!! Happy to be back to Class racing.
