atta boy ray. now theres the type of information i'm looking for on these pictures. quite a history lesson for that car and nice to know. even the bit about it going fast and consistent with the 440 in it. thanks ray..............

Bruces Monza never belonged to Robin Marcus or Scott Frasier as i watched the ol'man build the heritage monza from the ground up, then sell it to Robin in 87 or so.

the belvedere that says mike macdonald on the side is now owned by wendell howes and the wheeler dealer car is still owned by mike macdonald and is an original max wedge car i believe

What do the pictures on this page (as well as many of the pictures on the previous pages) have in common? They are all Stock or Super Stock entries! For those of you who weren't going to our tracks back then, this gives you some idea of why class racing has such deep roots in this region.

another batch of pics courtsy of the John Shanahan album. ok heres what i know and hopefully someone will fill in the blanks, first and last pic ; car has the same number 1208 v/sa hornet wagon dial of 15.81 wendall howes louis smith doug forbes quarter master dart unknown phil archibald now owned by ray ingram green duster name of (raniere) on window. sandy mackay starter behind car at tree button on post. possibly former ed hamburger car from st john area vince hazel v/sa 15.02 dial greg nickerson and stan brennan stan brennan greg nickerson and chum bruce luc pettigrew ? sponsored by armstrong machine same number car but different paint as picture one ??
now i will send don another bunch soon and there is some bikes and bracket cars and a couple of weird ones if they scan good enough coming next. plus i will have the album with me at the park this weekend to try to i-d most of them. thanks don and hope everyone enjoys the trip down memory lane.

The 1969 Camaro in the first and last picture was owned in those days by Fred Thibault. Before that it was green with Action Performance on the doors. I bought the car about eight years ago, and it has been a street car for the last 10-20 years.
