Hi everyone, i thought I had already posted race 4 & 5 results, but apparently I missed this page! Sorry here they are
RACE REPORT ACSSA EVENT 4, SEPTEMBER 21ST 2019 ---- GREENFIELD DRAGWAY
It was a fine forecast for racing, no better way to have it headed into the ACSSA’s second Double Header weekend of the year, held at Greenfield Dragway in Queens County NS. 18 competitors were attendance for Saturday’s event, including one new entry driven by long time member Gary Keans. Gary debuted his stunning 1967 Camaro, competing in Stock GT/D with a 305 for the remainder of the season. For next season he plans to compete in E/SA with a 295hp 350 combo, which will be one to keep your eyes on. Welcome back to racing Gary!
As we started into qualifying we had sunny skies and a light tailwind, temperature was recorded 73 degrees, 63% humidity, barometer of 29.78, and a density altitude of 1840 feet. After 2 qualifying sessions it was Jeremy Keans and his H/SA 305 powered 1983 Camaro rocket sitting on top at 1.16 under index, a full 2 tenths than number 2 qualifier Trevor Ervin’s wheel standing A/SA 1970 Nova.
First round saw 17 cars make the field as Kelly MacKay’s FS/D Challenger grenaded the transmission in qualifying. As we worked our way through the rounds, we found a semi-final round of 3, the bye going to Don Lavoie’s C/SA vette, while Mike Ingram and his G/SA Chevelle battled Jeremy Keans and his H/SA Camaro. Ingram advances to the final against Lavoie after a tight round with Keans. In the final, Ingram used a big reaction time advantage to take the win over Lavoie. Congrats to Mike Ingram on winning event 4!

RACE REPORT ACSSA EVENT 5, SEPTEMBER 22 2019 – GREENFIELD DRAGWAY
Event 5 of the ACSSA’s 2019 series was the second event of the Greenfield Dragway double header, and it was again a great day for racing. Again we had 18 entries, as Greg Nickerson joined Sunday’s field running their D/PS 1995 Firebird. We had mostly sunny skies again, but we lost our tail wind and gained a head wind. However, the weather observed during qualifying was temperature of 70 degrees, 54% humidity, barometer of 29.89 and a density altitude of 1400, all slightly better than Saturday’s event. Once again Jeremy Keans and his H/SA 1983 Camaro sat atop the field with a -1.138 run of 11.01. Trevor Ervin again in the number 2 spot at -.962 under (10.03) in his A/SA 70 Nova.
First round saw Jeremy Keans and Mike Ingram face off, Keans trying to gather the Bounty on Saturday’s winner, and secure a top spot in the season championship. It wouldn’t happen, as Keans red lit handing the win and a chance to catch up on points to Ingram. Fast forward a couple rounds and again in the semi’s, we see Ingram, Lavoie and Alan Harper. Lavoie’s position on the ladder was again “Just Friggen Perfect” giving him the bye into the final, while Ingram and Harper squared off, Harper goes -.015 red to Ingrams .018 handing him a trip to final against Lavoie. Deja view! As if we just re-wound the tape to Saturday, reactions were virtually the same as the day before, with the advantage again going to Ingram, the big Chevelle held the lead all the way to stripe allowing Mike Ingram to double up! Also to note, Mike was double dipping into the Pro Bracket class, as he was leading the points, and let’s just say when you’re hot your hot, as he also took the win in that event, and won the Greenfield Dragway Pro Bracket Championship. 3 for 3 and a Championship for the weekend, BIG CONGRATS TO MIKE INGRAM for pulling that feat off. Now going into ACSSA Race 6 this Saturday at Miramichi Dragway, we Jeremy Keans hanging onto the top spot, with Ingram only 32 points behind! It’s going to come down to the wire and will be one to watch. Keans looking for 3 in a row, Mike looking for his 1st ACSSA Championship.
Winner – Mike Ingram G/SA 1968 Chevelle
Runner Up – Don Lavoie C/SA 2003 Corvette
Semi Finals – Alan Harper SS/KA 1980 Mirada
Top Qualifier – Jeremy Keans H/SA 1983 Camaro -1.139 under 12.15 index (11.011)
