Welcome to our 729th edition, and as Atlantic Canada begins to reassemble itself from the effects of DORIAN. At home we endured this one pretty well with just some light clean up of branches and leaves. We even were blessed with staying on the grid through out the storm but the generator saw some good use, as it saved a refridgerator and freezer for relatives.
The CBDRA meeting is still a go for Wednesday at 7:00pm at the track. Just a review of things as we prepare for our final event of the 2019 season and don't forget its the ADRA TEAM RACE too. As always, new members are welcome to join us.
Next, at our last event I was asked by a few people about Pro Class drivers wearing jackets. If you're racing the Pro Class (7.05-8.66 1/8 mile or 11.00-13.49 1/4 mile) you MUST wear a jacket meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/1, its mandatory and this is not a new rule. I'm aware how warm it gets inside a race car, but it can get real warm quick, if there's flames lickin at you too. Stay within the safety rules and stay safe.
Also, this is the beginning of Drag Week 2019. Follow this link and get all caught up on the ROADKILL boys. I'm pretty sure Finnegan went 8.75 at 159 in his Blasphemi.
DRAG WEEK 2019
This is great display of drag racing and it might be something that could be considered for our region. Gotta be thinkin outside the box sometimes and here's a great example. Wiper blades and all.
Finally some photos. Well I had been planning to share photos from the Fall Brawl but as you're aware, Dorian had other plans about drag racing. Then the closest file was the Labor Day weekend race from Cape Breton so here's a bunch more of them. Please enjoy.
That's my deal for tonight, but a reminder to all ADRA class drag racers, please don't forget to let your team captains know if you're going to the Team Race this coming weekend. They're trying hard to complete their line-ups. Hoping to see you all again at Cape Breton Dragway this weekend.
Play safe and have a fun week.
