Good news yes but an absolute SHAME how the CBDRA was treated by the bureaucrats from practically all levels of government agencies. They had to fight continuously changing regulations, appraisals, financing deals and secret backdoor negotiations between the bureaucrats and other parties that wanted the site for other purposes. I don't think anyone realizes just how difficult it was for our Executive to deal with all these roadblocks and not throw their hands up in disgust and walk away.
The executive of the CBDRA should be eligible for sainthood after the fight they put up to secure this facility for Maritime racers. They should also go to the Olympics if there is ever an event that involves jumping through hoops to get stuff done. A lot of us have been there from day one doing the physical labour required to build the track but it's the executive that had the hardest task of all dealing with tin-pot dictators in various agencies and their constantly changing rules with the negotiations. Thankfully I personally had zero interaction with these roadblock builders or I would be behind bars......

Excellent news! Congrats, hopefully I can make the trip that way soon to help support the track as well. Only hit two races so far and with surgery at the end of the month, August isn't looking good now either.
Always great to see a drag strip expanding the program, good job to all involved.
