Well it rained, then it rained, and then we all looked to the sky and this happened . . .
Which was quickly followed by this . . .
And later ended with this . . .
Congrats to James Lyons on his Super Pro victory yesterday.
There was a few lingering clouds but Henk promptly stepped up to handle them for us.
There was a bunch of excitement in the MacNeil camp yesterday with the career launch of yet another drag racer for the next generation. Pretty special day for Connor Brown and he did a great job at the controls of his dragster. Kudos to the crew chief for tackling one of the toughest classes there is for his return to the drag strip. Welcome to MNP's Connor.
. . . look at the throttle foot here, lol.
It was also a pretty exciting day for Brett Metcalfe as he also joined the of the Junior Dragster class. Pretty nice dragster and worth noting, he too is being mentored by a veteran drag racer.
I need to extend thanks everyone that participated in this event from all the different levels. Your patience with the situation made our shared discomfort really more tolerable. In the end the call was made and everyone went right work. Special thanks again to Todd and Tracy Chase for helping us with the SMS messaging. Everything seemed to hit the mark within two minutes of print, and I think I can tighten that up a bit. The hurding process was pretty much eliminated with the addition of this system and it was nice to learn its opertions with a smaller scale group.
Thanks to everyone to took the time to help out Cape Breton Dragway this past few weeks and this past weekend.
Now the racing action moves to Greenfield Dragway as they unfold the 1st round of the Atlantic Pro Tree Series, and round one of the ADRA points championship. Plus round two of their Greenfield Dragway Championship. Gonna be busy so play safe and have fun.
