We had 2 big changes at Miramichi Dragway this weekend that are wins for everyone. #1 - If you were at the dragway on Saturday, you got to see our new-to-us fire truck in action. Safety is a top priority for us and the addition of this piece of equipment proved itself. One of our racers had an unfortunate incident with his car on Saturday afternoon. He's OK, but the car is not. A Code Red was called and staff quickly rushed to assist. The new fire truck was put to good use on its first day in service. While we hope we never have to use it, knowing it's at the track ready to go offers some more peace of mind. #2 - Sunday was the first chance racers got to use the new text system to receive the ladders and pairings during the Points Meet. It worked amazing! Everyone came to the staging lanes paired with their opponent and things ran smoothly. Thank you Todd Chase for all your work on this. Also, don't forget we have an AED onsite thanks to the NBDRA. Donations to offset the costs of it are still being accepted. They can be sent to Marlene Forbes by etransfer to dragracenb@gmail.com or mail to: NBDRA 25 Highfield Rd Douglas NB E3G 7P6
