Who is the contact or person running the school challenge on the 18th in the Miramichi? Trying to get a NS school involved and need info/rules/etc.
Thanks

Just came back to edit and noticed there has been 4 people look at this in the last 4 minutes. 8am on a Saturday and people are on this site? That's a good indicator of how valuable this site is huh?

We had a NS car entered in Maitland years ago. Give me your contact in formation and I will give it to Jonathan B Hunter.

Attended my first school challenge since I graduated in 1983!! Back then I went to James M Hill (Miramichi) and we raced in Pennfield.
I counted 21 cars and 10-12 schools (we were the only ones from NS) and Dawson drove to 3rd place where I messed up and didn't tell him to dump in time (we were holding 2/10ths...duh) He had a string of .030 - .060 lights until we lost lane choice and he slept to a .211. All in all it was a great time, even with the rain. Marc and Terry went out of their way to get cars down the track when it wasn't raining, I think they said 600 passes were made Friday alone!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
We even got to go over to my old high school and show Dawson around the auto shop thanks to the teacher, Eugene Harris. To say N.B. is light years ahead of NS in the high school programs is an understatement! I prepared a proposal to the V/Principal of Dawson's school just to use the mascot/decals/lettering to represent the school in this race. Now we have lots of video that Dawson is editing. It will be presented to the principal to build interest/support for next year.
To see hundreds of kids all into cars/dragracing and not stuck on their Iphones was quite a change, maybe there is hope for todays youth after all?? LOL! Its one thing to teach a kid to change a tire or pull a couple bolts and replace a part, "there, you passed" But to see the passion of these kids as they were diagnosing problems and coming up with solutions before the next round, GREAT stuff! So impressed by all the teachers involved in this program.
Can't wait for next year (perhaps a fall run??)
